Late afternoon view. The small village of Las Cuevas once served as a railway station close to the Argentine-Chilean border. Only few inhabitants have remained after the rail traffic had discontinued, offering a number of services such as guest houses and a restaurant. The deposits of the prehistoric Cerro Tolosa Rock Avalanches prominently appear in the centre of the photograph.
