View from the slopes of the Torcal de Antequera in NE direction. This part of the Betic Cordillera consists of a mosaic of different types of mainly sedimentary rocks. The softer sand- and siltstones forming rolling hills used for agriculture, as seen near the right edge of the photo, stand in sharp contrast to harder rocks - mainly limestone - building the high ridges and plateaus of the Cordillera Antequerana.
