Panoramic view from the summit area of Warscheneck (2388 m) in NE direction to Toter Mann (2137 m), Brunnsteiner Kar, and Ramesch (2119 m) (from left to right). The individual layers of the Triassic limestone of the Dachstein Formation, which has formed in a shallow lagoon at the shelf of the ancient Tethys ocean, are clearly visible and give this part of the Totes Gebirge its particular appearance. Wurzeralm, the basin of Windischgarsten and Großer Pyhrgas (2244 m) appear in the background of the image.
