Panoramic view from Guajara in NW direction to the stratovolcano Pico del Teide (3715 m), highest peak of Spain and Macaronesia. The shoulder left from the main summit is the younger Pico Viejo (3134 m). Both volcanoes raise from the bottom of a cauldron known as Las Cañadas, which is the result of mountain collapses rather than a real caldera. The islands of El Hierro, La Gomera, and La Palma are shown in the left background of the scene.
