Scene at the SE slope of the Achada plateau, upslope from Calheta de Nesquim. The hilly terrain characterized by the bright green of the pastures and meadows with interspersed trees and forest patches, and by the presence of well-preserved volcanic cones, can be considered stereotypical for the Azorean landscape.
