View from Hochhäderich (1565 m) along the W part of the Nagelfluh chain. This mountain range at the N rim of the Alps consists of conglomerate rocks, locally known as Nagelfluh. They have their origin in sediments transported out of the early Alps which later consolidated, and were folded and tilted due to tectonic forces.
