View from Monte Festa in NW direction up the valley of Tagliamento to the town of Tolmezzo. The Tagliamento is one of the best-preserved braided rivers in Europe. Monte Coglians (2780 m), highest peak of the Carnian Alps, appears in the right background at the border to Austria. It is still covered by snow at this time of the year.
