Kaunertal | Gepatsch Reservoir with Hochmais Landslide
WI_at001_53.jpg Kaunertal | Gepatsch Reservoir panorama Thumbnails Kaunertal | Slope movements

The slopes heading into the Gepatsch Reservoir are characterized by multiple scarps indicating a system of slow-moving landslides (deep-seated mountain sagging) in the prevailing metamorphic rocks. The Hochmais Landslide in the centre of the image represents the most obvious example whilst traces of smaller landslides are visible on the left side.
