View from the summit area of Schafberg in N direction to the N rim of the Alps with Mondsee on the left side and Attersee on the right side. The rather gentle low mountains and hills between the two lakes form part of the flysch zone. The more rugged N slopes of Schafberg in the foreground, in contrast, belong to the Northern Calcareous Alps.
