View from the Kings Canyon Rim Walk into the canyon upstream from the Garden of Eden. Some parts of the canyon bottom support lush riverine vegetation. The canyon's escarpments consist mainly of the aeolian Mereenie sandstone overlaying the older and more erodible Carmichael Sandstone.
