Rockhampton | Volcanic plugs

View from Mt. Archer towards northeast. The dome-shaped hills in the centre of the image represent volcanic plugs dating back to the Creataceous. The rocks are predominantly trachytes (known as Mount Headlow trachyte) and support stands of hoop pine (Araucaria cunninghamii).
