Waimea Canyon

View from Highway 550 to the lower section of the system of gorges often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Hawai'i. It was incised to its depth of up to 900 m due to the tremendous discharge transported from the area around Mt. Wai'ale'ale, one of the wettest spots on Earth, down to the Pacific Ocean.
