These parallel bridges carry the Interstate 80 across the Carquinez Strait. The suspension bridge (Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge) with a main span of 730 m is shown less than two months before its completion and carries the southbound traffic. One of the two cantilever bridges was later demolished, whilst the other one carries the northbound traffic.
