Arches Yard, chapel, and clock tower. This remarkable Romanticist castle combining various architectural styles was built around 1850 in the place of a former monastery. Together with its large forested park and much of the surroundings, the palace has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 (Cultural Landscape of Sintra).
