York with Minster

Station Road walls, view across the River Ouse (Lendal Bridge) in northeastern direction to the York Minster. This Gothic-style cathedral represents an important centre of the Church of England. The building was completed in 1472 after more than two centuries of construction, and more than eight centuries after a first church had been built on the same grounds.
