Upside-down view from Newcastle's Quayside up the River Tyne to the Gateshead Millenium Bridge, opened in 2001, and the various other bridges connecting Newcastle and Gateshead. The concert hall Sage Gateshead dominating the right portion of the photo represents a major symbol for the redevelopment of Quayside. It has opened in 2004.
