This ancient assemblage of Islamic monuments was built on (and from) the rubble of destroyed Hindu and Jain places of worship. The ruins of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque appear in the foreground, whereas the 73 m high minaret Qutub Minar (constructed between the outgoing 12th century and the late 14th century) can be seen in the right background of the photo.
