Upper portion of the alluvial fan of Balason River, view downstream. The coarse, unsorted, and incompletely rounded gravel in the river bed indicates active morphodynamics in the catchment, with material rapidly transported downstream through flooding or even debris flows. Such events also put the nearby village and the bridge at risk.
