View from Mirador Alto Lagunillas in N direction. This lake at almost 4200 m asl. in the Altiplano between Arequipa and Puno has a total surface area of 65 square kilometres. It is used for fishing and as a water resource for Puno. The outflow of the lake has been regulated by a dam since 1995.
