Isla Taquile | Footpath with stone arch

Taquile Island, with a surface area of 6 square kilometres, rises approx. 250 m above Lake Titicaca. Its more than 2000 inhabitants grow various crops on ancient terraces. Instead of cars or roads, traffic relies on a system of footpaths.
