Panoramic view from the slope of the 1902 lava dome in northeastern direction. The summit of Morne Lacroix (1255) protrudes from the escarpment of the former caldera. Due to the growth of the dome, the base of the escarpment forms a linear depression. The Deuxième Refuge appears right from Morne Lacroix.
