Roma | Piazza del Pantheon at night

The Pantheon (in the right centre of the photo) is one of the best-preserved ancient Roman buildings. It was completed in the early 2nd Century and had the largest dome worldwide for more than 1700 years. The building most likely served as a Roman sanctuary until the early 7th Century and has since then been used as a Christian church (Santa Maria ad Martyres). Among Romans it is also known as "La Rotonda".
