Étretat | Falaise d'Aval with rock fall

Panoramic view from Manneporte in southwestern direction to the cliffs of the Falaise d'Aval, consisting mainly of white chalk, but also flintstone. Freeze-thaw effects in combination with rainwater and breaking of waves are the main causes of the frequent rock falls from the cliffs.
