This extremely mobile rock avalanche occurred in the morning of 7 July 2018. It travelled over a distance of 2.3 km, increasing its volume from approx. 7 million to more than 10 million cubic metres. The two-colour deposit, with a brighter part in the centre and a darker part at the edges, might indicate that the landslide occurred in two stages. It seems that water can seep through the brighter rocks, whereas it is impounded by the darker rocks.
