View from Plaza Mirador de San Nicolás in S direction. The Alhambra represents a complex of palaces and fortresses. Forming part of it, the Alcazaba is a Moorish fortification dating back to the late 9th Century. The entire ensemble has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
