Granada | Palacio de Carlos V

WI_e5095.jpg

The Alhambra represents a complex of palaces and fortresses. The Palacio de Carlos V was built in the 16th Century in Renaissance style, in sharp contrast to the earlier Moorish fortress and palaces. The columns of the round courtyard consist of conglomerate rock. The entire ensemble has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
