The Alhambra represents a complex of palaces and fortresses declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. It includes the Palacios Nazaríes, which are often considered the finest piece of Islamic architecture in Europe. They date back to the 14th century. This photo shows their main courtyard, the Patio de los Leones.
