The summit of Warscheneck (2388 m) appears in the left centre, Toter Mann (2137 m) in the right centre of the photo. The individual layers of the Triassic limestone of the Dachstein Formation, which has formed in a lagoon of an ancient sea, are clearly visible and give this part of the Totes Gebirge its particular appearance.
