The most important summits are from left to right: Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248 m), Mont Maudit (4465 m), Mont Blanc (4806 m), Dôme du Goûter (4304 m), and Aiguille du Goûter (3863 m). The Bossons Glacier with its proglacial lake prominently appears in the centre of the photograph, whereas the Arve Valley with some remaining morning clouds can be seen in the right background.
