Morning view of Lac de Tignes, Tignes-Val-Claret, and the summit of Grande Motte (3653 m). Tignes represents one of the types of winter sports resorts typical for the French Alps. It was mainly developed in the 1960s, detached from the original village of Tignes. More recent adaptations and extensions have aimed at upgrading its appearance.
