View from the spire of Vor Frelsers Church across the neighbourhood of Christianshavn in N direction. This part of the city was established in the early 17th Century as a merchant's town on an ensemble of artificial islands between Sjælland and Amager. It has evolved from a working class area to a rather diverse social environment.
