This Rococo-style ensemble was built in the mid 18th Century. Consisting of four palaces surrounding an octagonal plaza with an equestrian statue of King Frederik V in the centre, it represents the home of the Danish Royal Family. Frederik's Church, colloquially known as Marble Church, can be seen in the background of the scene.
