Late afternoon view from Fjällgatan across Strömmen in NE direction. The major construction seen in the left portion of the scene aims at better connecting the districts of Gamla Stan (centre of the picture) and Södermalm, and to improve flood protection at the lock (Slussen) between Lake Mälaren and the sea. However, this long-term project is also a subject of major dispute and criticism.
