Marktplatz in the very centre of Bremen with the Schütting (chamber of commerce, left side), and the Church of Our Lady and the city hall (right background). The ongoing fair is a small part of the Freimarkt (Free Fair), held annually in the second half of October. This event dates back to the 11th Century, representing one of the oldest fairs in Germany.
