The Potsdam Square is a place of rich history. Once having represented one of the major urban intersections in Europe, this neighbourhood was completely destroyed in World War II and left unused during the Cold War, when it was cut by the Berlin Wall. Major redevelopment - including the construction of the Sony Centre - took place after the German reunification. The park of Tiergarten appears in the background of the photo.
