View from the slopes of Tegelberg in W direction down to the Neuschwanstein Castle. The Bavarian King Ludwig II ordered the construction of this historicist palace which started in 1869, but was never completely finished. Originally serving as the residence of the king, the site was made publicly accessible shortly after his death. It represents a major landmark of S Germany and attracts more than one million visitors each year.
