WI_ge001_407.jpg

View from the slopes of Tegelberg down to the Hohenschwangau Castle. It was built in the 19th Century on the site of an older castle and served as the summer and hunting residence of King Maximilian II. King Ludwig II, who later commissioned the construction of the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle, spent much of his childhood here.
