View from Olympiaturm in W direction. The Olympiastadion München was completed in 1968 and served as the main venue of the 1972 Summer Olympics. It also hosted the finals of the 1974 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 1988, as well as several European club finals. At the time this photo was taken, Bayern München used the stadium for their regular matches. Later on, they moved to the Allianz Arena at the NE edge of the city.
