The trail connecting Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo. Stairways and some tunnels enable hikers to cross the extremely exposed terrain of the Central Mountain Massif of Madeira. This photo was taken while the Madeira Island Ultra Trail (MIUT) was going on.
