View from Pico Ruivo do Paul in SE direction over the highland Paul da Serra, extending at 1400-1500 m asl. Since a long time, it has been used as pastureland and water tower, as much of the runoff is diverted into levadas leading down to the coastal areas. More recently, various wind parks have been installed near the edges of the highland.
