Aburrá Valley with Medellín

Panoramic view from the vicinity of the Metrocable station La Aurora across the Aburrá Valley in SE direction. This scene shows many of the central, W, and S parts of the city of Medellín, with the hills of Cerro El Volador (left side) and Cerro Nutibara (left centre) rising from the valley bottom. Due to its mild climate all year round, Medellín is known as the city of eternal spring whereas the national capital Bogotá, located at higher elevation, is just called the "fridge".
