The granitic rocks of the Antioquia Batholith are weathered to a depth of tens of metres in most places. This inselberg is one of very few sites where the granite has withstood weathering and erosion, and therefore surmounts the surrounding landscape by approx. 200 m. The rock is equipped with stairways enabling visitors to reach its summit.
