The oasis of Sangalle is a tourist resort perched near the bottom of the Colca Canyon, on the inner side of a valley meander. It comes up with swimming pools, guest houses, and restaurants. From here, the trail shown on the left side of the photo leads more than 1000 vertical metres upslope directly to the village of Cabanaconde.
