View from Mirador Alto Lagunillas in E direction. This lake at almost 4200 m asl. in the Altiplano between Arequipa and Puno has a surface area of 65 square kilometres. It is used for fishing and as a water resource for Puno. The vegetation shown in the foreground of the scene represents a typical puna, with widely spaced tussock grasses.
