Flight Vienna - Amsterdam, view across the Danube in SW direction. The town in the centre of the image is Krems, the Wachau is shown behind. It represents a narrow section of the Danube Valley which formed through antecedent erosion as a response to the uplift of the Bohemian Massif related to the formation of the Alps. The lower left portion of the scene belongs to the Weinviertel with the Tulln Basin, the right side to the Waldviertel, the left background to the Mostviertel.
