The Danube with the artifical Danube Island and the discharge flume of the New Danube separates the main part of the city from the districts of Donaustadt and Floridsdorf. The Old Danube, a lake shown in the lower portion of the photo, represents a branch of the former braided river system. The land between the New and Old Danube is occupied by Kaisermühlen, the Vienna International Centre, and the Danube Park with the Danube Tower.
