Flight Vienna - Amsterdam, view over the Austrian capital city in SW direction to the Wienerwald and the Schneeberg (2076 m) in the background. The Danube with the artifical Danube Island and the discharge flume of the New Danube separates the main part of the city from the districts of Donaustadt (with the Vienna International Centre) and Floridsdorf. The curved Old Danube, now a lake, represents a branch of the former braided river system.
