View across the main square of Garachico in SW direction to the Iglesia de Santa Ana. The town was badly damaged by lava flows in 1706. The harbour, at that time the most important of Tenerife, was completely buried. Sea trade shifted to Puerto de la Cruz and never returned to Garachico.
