Located on the rain-shaded, usually sunny S side of Tenerife, the coastal town of El Médano is known as a premium location for wind- and kitesurfing. The partly eroded volcanic cones of Montaña Bocinegro (36 m) and Montaña Roja (171 m) appear in the background of the picture.
