Panoramic view along the comparatively sunny S coast in W direction. Repeated landslides from the cliffs have formed numerous platform-like features, such as the Fajã de Lopo Vaz shown in the centre of the scene. It is used for growing various crops, even bananas. The area is not permanently inhabited due to difficult access.
